Private, not-for-profit agency assists low-income residents with housing needs. Low-income homeowners with affordable housing repair and/or rehabilitation services.
Domestic violence and sexual assault program and shelter for woman and children. Provide supportive companions for hospital and court hearings. Promotes public awareness of family violence and sexual assault in Shenandoah County. Free and confidential.
Provides assistance to those in need of hearing devices and provide additional resources for them. Work to educate the community and help individuals with hearing and speech-impairment or other disadvantages.
Promotes the dignity of individuals and families by helping them move into the economic mainstream. Works to develop existing strengths and resources within communities. Makes business loans to new and existing businesses in Shenandoah and Page counties. Offers business training workshops and technical assistance with business plans, record keeping, and financial analysis. Provides guidance to first-time homeowners buying or building including spending plans, credit concerns, preparation for
Catholic, pro-life organization provides expectant or new mothers of any faith information and practical support. Provides the community with education services. Raising funds to acquire and remodel a home appropriate to house homeless expectant and new mothers.
Provides non-emergency medical transportation for Medicaid recipients. One time and "standing order appointments."
Provides emergency housing, crisis intervention, counseling, and support to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Offers different support groups throughout the year for children, teens and women affected by domestic violence and sexual assault. Court and hospital accompaniment.
Provides early intervention supports and services to infants and toddlers from birth through age two who are not developing as expected or who have a medical condition that can delay normal development. Referral service for professionals who conduct developmental screenings and evaluations; physical, speech, and occupational therapy; and service coordination for children birth to two.
Drug and alcohol free facility 16 bed shelter accomodations for maximum of 6 months. Help clients work to get back into the community; help with paperwork and obtaining all available services. Provide case management for men, helping to develop goals based on individual needs-monitor progress weekly. Offer a bed, food, clothing, shower, laundry facilities, Life Skills Workshops, companionship, encourragement and other support to those in need.
Provides transportation assistance, food, clothing, financial aid, referrals, and counseling to families and individuals who find themselves in a temporary emergency situation.
