Over the weekend, Concern Hotline hosted our 5th annual Contact Ping Pong Tournament to raise suicide awareness. Thirty-two amazing contestants fought for the title of “Ping Pong Champion.” Escutcheon Brewery, a local brewery in Winchester, provided the ultimate set up for the 46 matches.
The results of the competition were as follows:
Winner: Daniel Soares
Runner up: Travis Nesselrodt
3rd Place: Calvin Yarborough
4th place: Alex Kruse
We would like to send a big thank you to each one of our sponsors: Proctor & Gamble, Phelps Funeral Services, Berry Hill Logistics LLC, Reading Landscapes Inc., Escutcheon Brewery and Just Tech.
The local Virginia Valley Vipers professional basketball team also made an appearance, showing endless support for Concern Hotline.
Billy Sous delivered a delicious food line up for the wonderful players, sponsors, and spectators. The “Rusty Ruben” was also a major hit with the crowd. The Winchester Pipes and Drums also provided an incredible performance to wrap up the event.
Thanks to the help of our sponsors, players and generous donors, Concern Hotline was able to raise approximately $6,000 at the event.
We are grateful for the continuous support from our community and look forward to future events. Please contact the office if you are interested in sponsoring any future events.
